Printing My Way

Hey, hey -my name is Jessalynn. I am the founder and lead engineer of 3D Modest Makes.

By day, I am a manufacturing bad ass, by night I am a maker. On the weekends, I am an archery-obsessed, yogi, with a paddle board exploring my next adventure.

I have been hooked on 3D printing since 2015. It all started with a project to print lower limb prosthetic sockets and quickly turned into a passion I could not stop thinking about. Now I print from home on my PRUSA I3 MK3.

I started sharing my Modest Makes to showcase my prints with clients, friends, and family. I am excited to turn my creativity into your reality.

None of this would be possible without the love and technical support of my husband, TreJon House, founder and Lead Developer of Coding House. Thank you for helping me setup my website!

My Journey

Yesterday

What do you want to be when you grow up?

I always wanted to be someone who made a difference in the lives of others. I stumbled upon Additive Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Human Factors during school and immediately fell in love. It was my ticket to seeing my career touch lives both on the job and commercially.

Today

Leader = Project Management + Manufacturing + Process Improvement + Biomedical

Recently, I transitioned from a Manufacturing Engineer position, owning a variety of projects including Process Improvement, Quality, and New Product Introduction (NPI). Now I am a People Leader owning and supervising and Continuous Improvement (CI) projects, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), and Facilities at my plant. I prioritize team members and focus on safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost.

Tomorrow

Highly Skilled Engineer Dependable People Leader Revolutionizing Industry

I do not want the manufacturing industry to be the same without me.  My goal is to build a culture and environment that allows for success.  I want to move hearts and minds, starting with data and trust. Continuing my career rooted in the manufacturing industry, I am working to transition into management, functional VP, C-suite, and CEO.

Next Steps?

Well rounded skill development over the next five years including:

  • ASQ Green Belt
  • Improve Understanding of and Proficiency in Fabrication Processes such as Casting, Machining, and Injection Molding
  • Company based or Private Leadership Development Program
  • Building Healthy Relationships and Safe Working Environments (Physically and Psychologically)

I cannot wait to connect with you!
